Ivanhoe Minesは、英国を拠点とする民間企業Pallas Resourcesと探査合弁会社を設立し、カザフスタンのChu-Sarysu銅盆地の探査を行っています。The joint venture covers a highly prospective licence package, building on decades of detailed geological data to unlock new mineral opportunities in this vast Central Asian landscape. 中央アフリカのCopperbeltとヨーロッパのKupferschieferに次いで、世界第3位の堆積岩盆地に形成される銅鉱床であるChu-Sarysuには、2,700万トンの既知の銅が存在しています。この盆地には、1世紀以上にわたって継続的に採掘されてきた世界クラスのDzhezkazgan鉱床があります。The license area is seven times larger that Western Forelands. Exploration activities began during the first quarter of 2025.  Fieldwork has identified copper mineralization outcropping on surface, with an approximately 20-metre thick zone. ライセンスはChu-Sarysu盆地の南部に位置し、36キロメートルに及ぶ歴史的に特定された層別傾向を含み、複数のサンプルから1.0%〜5.0%の銅が検出されています。
